Ibstock United Under 9's ~ World Champions

Leicestershire and Rutland County FA "World Cup Day".

The day was great and enjoyed by all.

Ibstock U9's were Mexico, faces and hair were painted with Mexican colours as Ibstock embraced the world cup fever.

There were 2 groups of Under 9's, A and B, Ibstock were in group A, Winning group A to go through to the quarter finals. The Mexicans (or Ibstock), Ibstock (Mexico) won the quarter final comfortably 3-0 against Whetstone and faced Aylestone Park youth in the semi-finals and progressed to the final on penalties.

The final against Allexton New Parks ended 0-0 and after extra time neither team could find a winner. The game went to penalties to decide who would lift the Jules Rimet and Ibstock came out winners of the U9 age group.
