Under 9's Impressive showing in Filey Easter Cup

Filey Easter Cup April 2nd - April 5th 2010

Ibstock U9's came 3rd in the tournament that took place on Sat 3rd April.

For the tournament held on the 4th April only the top 2 teams went through to the final.
Ibstock U9's started wth a 2-0 loss to Nunthorpe yellow (Middlesborough). After this wake up call Ibstock went from strength to strength. With wins against Clifton(Nottingham) 3-0,
Burlington (Hull) 2-0, Whitely Bay 4-0 and then Nunthorpe blue(Middlesborough) 2-0.

All games were played 7 mins each way and the final was to be the same, with Ibstock coming out the CHAMPIONS against Nunthorpe Yellow with a 2-1 victory. Goalscorers in the final were Lewis Underwood and Tyler Chesterton.

A fine peformance throughout the day by all players.

A throughly enjoyable and well run tournament.
