Ibstock United are a FA charter standard football club, coaching hundreds of boys and girls between 4 and 17 years old. The club is currently having a brand new clubhouse constructed through lottery and sponsorship funding that will guarantee the future progression of the club.
All coaches are volunteers, FA qualified and CRB checked. Although the primary objective of the club is youth football, all of the children benefit in many other ways. At a time when there is much discussion about childhood obesity and anti-social behaviour, our children are fit, motivated and well behaved. Our players will always be disciplined, smart and polite. We intend our players to be a credit to our club and all those associated with it.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
